Model text

Dear Ms Patel,

I am writing to apply for the part-time café assistant position advertised on your Instagram page. I am currently a university student and am available on weekday evenings as well as Saturdays and Sundays. Last summer, I worked for three months in a busy bakery, where I served customers, prepared simple drinks, handled payments, and kept the front area clean. This experience taught me how to stay polite and organised during busy periods. I also speak English and Spanish, which may be useful when serving international customers. I am interested in your café because it has a strong local reputation and I enjoy working in friendly team environments. I would be happy to attend an interview at any convenient time next week and can provide a reference from my previous employer.

Kind regards,
Daniel Cruz
