Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Evo-English collects, uses, and protects your information.

Last updated: February 3, 2026 Contact: evoenglish@outlook.com Location: Armenia, Yerevan

1) Who we are

Evo-English (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides an English-learning website with user accounts, vocabulary cards, a translator, and an AI assistant.

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact us at evoenglish@outlook.com.

2) What data we collect

A) Account and authentication

  • Email
  • Name (if you provide it)
  • User ID (internal identifier)
  • OAuth provider details (Google/Facebook): provider name and provider user ID; we may also receive your email and name from the provider.

B) Learning content and progress

  • Words/phrases you save to your vocabulary cards
  • Your learning progress and preferences/settings (where applicable)

C) AI assistant inputs

When you use the AI assistant, the text you submit is processed to generate a response. This may involve sending your message text to a third-party AI provider (for example, OpenAI) to produce an answer. Depending on how the feature is configured, we may temporarily process and store assistant requests/responses for service delivery, abuse prevention, and debugging.

D) Technical and usage data

  • IP address, browser/device info (user-agent), timestamps (e.g., sign-in time)
  • Cookies and LocalStorage used for essential site functionality (and for analytics, if enabled)
  • Error logs and diagnostic data
  • Analytics data about visits and interactions (see Cookies & Analytics below)

E) Analytics events (product usage)

If analytics is enabled, we may collect interaction signals such as pages visited, time spent on pages, scroll depth, and clicks on specific buttons/links (for example, “save to cards”). Where available, we may attach a pseudonymous identifier (for example, a hashed user ID) to understand usage patterns.

3) Where data comes from

  • Directly from you (registration/login forms, account settings, saved cards)
  • From social login providers (Google/Facebook) when you choose to sign in that way
  • Automatically from your device/browser (cookies, logs, analytics)

4) How we use your data

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account and provide access to your personal account area
  • Enable key features (vocabulary cards, progress tracking, translator, AI assistant)
  • Provide support if you contact us
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Improve the website (analytics, performance, reliability)
We do not sell your personal data.

Legal bases (EU/UK)

If you are located in the EU/UK, we typically rely on: (a) performance of a contract (to provide the service), (b) legitimate interests (security and improving the service), and (c) consent (where required for non-essential cookies/analytics).

5) Sharing and third-party services

We use service providers to run the website and its features. Depending on your use of the site, your data may be processed by:

  • Supabase — authentication, sessions, and database storage
  • Webflow — website hosting and page delivery
  • Google — Google sign-in; Google APIs (e.g., translation) where enabled; and Google Analytics 4 for analytics (if enabled)
  • Meta — Facebook sign-in
  • OpenAI — AI assistant processing (if you use the assistant feature)

We share only the data needed for these services to work (e.g., login details for authentication, assistant message text to generate a response, and technical/usage data for analytics and reliability).

Advertising

As of the date above, Evo-English does not display third-party advertising on the site. If we introduce advertising in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, request consent for advertising-related cookies/technologies.

6) International transfers

Our service providers may process data on servers located outside Armenia (and possibly outside your country). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards provided by vendors to protect cross-border data transfers.

7) Retention and deletion

We generally keep your account data as long as your account is active.

If you use the “Delete account” option in your personal account area, we remove your account and associated data from our production systems promptly.

Limited residual copies may remain in backups for a short period and will be overwritten on the normal backup cycle. We do not use backups to restore individual accounts.

8) Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS)
  • Access controls and least-privilege practices
  • Backups and recovery measures
  • Monitoring and logs for reliability and security

9) Passwords

We do not see or store your password in plain text.

  • Email/password logins are handled by the authentication provider; passwords are stored as secure hashes.
  • If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we do not receive your password at all.

10) Your rights

You can:

  • Request access to a copy of your personal data
  • Request deletion of your account and data (via the personal account page)

To make a request, email us at evoenglish@outlook.com. We may need to verify your identity.

EU/UK additional rights

Depending on your location, you may also have the right to correct your data, restrict processing, object to processing, and file a complaint with your local data protection authority.

11) Cookies & analytics

We use:

  • Essential cookies/storage to keep the site working (for example, login/session-related data and basic preferences)
  • Analytics to understand site usage and improve performance

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

If enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure website usage such as page views, session activity, interaction events, and engagement signals (for example: time on page and scroll depth). GA4 may use cookies or similar technologies.

Your choices (consent)

Where required by law (for example, in the EU/UK), analytics is activated only after you consent. You can change your choice at any time using the button below.

You can update your analytics and cookie preferences here at any time.

12) Children

Evo-English provides educational content and may be used by a general audience. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use features that involve submitting personal data (for example, email sign-in).

If you are under the age at which you can consent to data processing in your country (for example, under 16 in some places), please use the site only with a parent/guardian and create an account only with their approval.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn that a user is under 13, we may delete the account and associated data.

13) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top. If changes are significant, we may provide a notice on the website.

If you have any questions, contact us at evoenglish@outlook.com.
