1) Who I Am

I, Gegam Bedzhanian, Individual Entrepreneur, operate Evo-English, an English learning platform for learners, English teachers, tutors, and schools. Evo-English includes lessons, vocabulary cards, instant translation, AI support, teacher and student dashboards, assignments, feedback, live lessons, and progress tracking.

2) Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to the Evo-English website, user accounts, dashboards, vocabulary tools, AI assistant, translation features, learning materials, live lesson features, and related support communications.

If a third-party website or service has its own privacy policy, that policy also applies when you use that third-party service.

3) Information I Collect

AI, translation, and text-to-speech data

• Words, phrases, questions, prompts, or text you submit to translation or AI features
• AI assistant responses and related technical logs needed to provide, secure, debug, and improve the feature
• Text used to generate audio dialogues or learning audio through text-to-speech tools, where available

Technical, analytics, and source data

• IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, timestamps, and error logs
• Cookies, local storage, session data, and privacy preference records
• Page views, interaction events, scroll activity, button clicks, referrer data, UTM campaign parameters, and approximate engagement signals
• Pseudonymous analytics identifiers, where analytics is enabled

4) Where Information Comes From

• From you: when you create an account, save cards, submit assignments, upload files, use AI tools, or contact me.
• From teachers, tutors, schools, or parents: when they invite students, manage learning activity, or provide student-related information for educational use.
• From login providers: when you choose Google or Facebook sign-in.
• Automatically: from your browser, device, cookies, logs, analytics, and security systems.
• From service providers: when they process data needed to operate Evo-English features.

5) How I Use Information

• To create and manage user accounts
• To provide lessons, vocabulary cards, instant translation, AI support, dashboards, assignments, feedback, live lessons, and progress tracking
• To let teachers invite students, manage assignments, review submissions, and send feedback
• To let students receive assignments, submit answers, view feedback, use assigned cards, and join live lessons
• To provide support, respond to messages, and handle requests
• To protect accounts, prevent abuse, detect technical issues, and keep the website reliable
• To understand how people use Evo-English and improve the product, where analytics is enabled
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce the Terms of Service

6) Legal Bases for Processing

Depending on your location, privacy law may require me to identify a legal basis for processing personal information. I may rely on:

• Contract: to provide the service and account features you request.
• Consent: for optional analytics cookies or similar technologies where required, and for student use where legally required.
• Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, debug, and improve Evo-English, provided those interests do not override your rights.
• Legal obligations: where I must keep or disclose information to comply with law.

7) Children, Students, and Teacher Use

Evo-English is intended for adult learners, English teachers, tutors, schools, and learners aged 16 or older.

• Users under 16 should use Evo-English only with the involvement and consent of a parent, legal guardian, teacher, school, or other authorized educational organization.
• Children under 13 may not create their own accounts or provide personal information directly to Evo-English.
• If a teacher, school, or parent uses Evo-English with a child under 13, they are responsible for obtaining any legally required parental or guardian consent.
• Teacher accounts are intended for users aged 18 or older.
• Adult learners may create their own accounts. Teachers may invite or add students for educational use.

8) Service Providers and Data Sharing

I use trusted service providers to operate Evo-English. They process information only as needed to provide their services to me.

• Supabase: authentication, database, storage, realtime features, and server functions.
• Webflow: website hosting, page delivery, and public website management.
• Google: Google sign-in, Google Analytics 4, and Google APIs where enabled.
• Meta: Facebook sign-in and related authentication features where enabled.
• OpenAI or similar AI providers: AI assistant processing and learning explanations where enabled.
• ElevenLabs or similar text-to-speech providers: audio generation for learning dialogues or materials where used.
• LiveKit or similar live lesson providers: live lesson rooms, participant connection, and related session features where enabled.
• GitHub, jsDelivr, CDN, security, email, and infrastructure providers: code delivery, reliability, support, and technical operations.

I may also disclose information if required by law, to protect my rights, to prevent abuse or security incidents, or in connection with a business transfer.

9) AI, Translation, and Audio Tools

Evo-English includes automatic learning tools such as instant translation, AI explanations, and generated audio dialogues.

• Text you submit to AI or translation features may be sent to third-party providers so the feature can work.
• AI outputs and automatic translations may be inaccurate and should be used as learning support.
• Some learning content may be created, edited, curated, or adapted by me with AI assistance.
• Audio dialogues may be created from AI-generated text and converted into audio using commercial text-to-speech tools, including ElevenLabs.

10) Cookies, Local Storage, and Analytics

Evo-English uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep the website working, remember privacy choices, protect accounts, and measure usage where analytics is enabled.

Categories

• Necessary: required for security, login/session features, privacy choices, and basic website operation.
• Analytics: optional where required by law. Helps me understand page views, engagement, feature usage, and traffic sources.
• Marketing: may be used in the future to measure campaign performance or social traffic. If required, I will ask for consent before using non-essential marketing cookies.

Google Analytics 4

If analytics is enabled, I use Google Analytics 4 to measure website activity, including page views, sessions, engagement, scroll events, interaction events, UTM campaign parameters, approximate location, browser/device data, and traffic source information.

I do not intentionally send names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other directly identifying information to Google Analytics. Please do not put personal information into UTM links or public campaign URLs.

11) International Transfers

Evo-English is operated from Armenia, and my service providers may process information in other countries. Data protection laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live.

Where required, I rely on contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards provided by my vendors to protect international transfers.

12) Retention and Deletion

• Account and learning data is generally kept while your account remains active.
• Teacher/student records, assignments, submissions, feedback, and progress may be kept as long as needed to provide the educational workspace.
• Support emails may be kept as long as needed to answer requests and maintain records.
• Security logs, technical logs, and analytics records may be kept for limited periods needed for reliability, safety, and measurement.
• Backup copies may remain for a limited time until overwritten on the normal backup cycle.

13) Security and Passwords

I use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including HTTPS, access controls, authentication controls, backups, monitoring, and least-privilege practices.

• I do not see or store your password in plain text.
• Email/password sign-in is handled by the authentication provider, and passwords are stored as secure hashes.
• If you sign in with Google or Facebook, Evo-English does not receive your password from those providers.

14) Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Access the personal information I hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Delete your account or request deletion of personal information
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
• Request a copy of certain information in a portable format
• File a complaint with a data protection authority where applicable

15) Educational Content and Rights Notices

Evo-English provides educational content, including grammar lessons, reading materials, listening/audio dialogues, vocabulary practice, adapted learning materials, AI-assisted examples, and teacher/student workspace features.

• Some lessons are written by me, Gegam Bedzhanian, and may be supported by AI-assisted drafting or editing.
• Some adapted reading materials may include AI-generated short retellings, summaries, and level-adapted learning materials based on well-known books or general educational topics.
• Some audio dialogues may be generated from text using text-to-speech tools.

16) Contact and Updates

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When I update it, I will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are significant, I may provide a notice on the website.
