In this lesson, you will learn how to write simple information about your family: who is in your family, their names or ages, what they do, and what they like.

I live with my parents and my brother. My mother's name is Elena. She is 45 years old. She is a teacher. My brother is 16. He likes football. We like watching films together.

How to write

Say who is in your family.

Useful phrases

Language focus

Use “he” for a man or boy and “she” for a woman or girl:

My brother is 16. He is a student.

My mother is 45. She is a teacher.

Add “-s” to many verbs after he or she:

I like football. → He likes football.

I work in a school. → She works in a school.

Remember:
He likes football.
She works in a school.
Not: He like football.
