Learn simple words for places in a town or city. Use these words to talk about where things are and how to give easy directions.

- city – big town with many people and cars.
- village – small place in the countryside.
- city centre – middle of the city with many shops.
- square – open place in a town with buildings around.

- address – number, street and city of a place.

- street – road in a town with houses or shops.
- road – way for cars and buses.
- bridge – goes over a river or road.
- traffic lights – red, yellow, green lights for cars.
- corner – place where two streets meet.
- near – close, not far.
- far from – at a long distance.
- across from – on the other side of the street.
- go straight – continue in the same direction, don’t turn.
