Last Saturday, I spent almost the whole day at the sports centre near my house because I wanted to try something new and become more active. I usually go for short walks, but I had never used a gym or joined a class before, so I felt a little nervous when I arrived.

At the front desk, the receptionist smiled and gave me a day pass. She showed me where the lockers were and explained the class schedule. First, I joined a beginner cycling class. The instructor helped everyone adjust the bikes and reminded us to drink water. The class was harder than I expected, but it was also fun.

After that, I changed my clothes and went to the swimming pool. It was quiet there, and I swam slowly for about twenty minutes. Later, I met my cousin Mia in the café inside the sports centre. We had wraps and fruit smoothies, and we talked about healthy habits.

Before I left, a trainer told me about the monthly membership and the different classes I could try next time. I was tired by the end of the day, but I felt proud of myself and decided to come back the following week.
