My name is Emma. On Saturday morning, I go to the park with my brother Tom. The sky is gray, but we take a ball and some sandwiches. At first, the park is quiet and the air is cool. We walk near the lake and feed two ducks. Then small drops of rain fall on my jacket.

Tom laughs and says we need an umbrella, but we do not have one. We run to a little café by the park gate and sit inside. We drink hot tea and eat our sandwiches. Soon the rain stops, and a rainbow appears above the trees. Our wet day becomes a happy day.

Useful words from the text

gray = not bright or sunny drops = small bits of rain or water umbrella = something you use in the rain gate = a place to enter or leave rainbow = colors in the sky after rain
