Alex says he spent most of the week indoors, so on Saturday morning he decided to get fresh air and move.

The night before, he checked the weather, charged his phone, and packed a small backpack with food, water, and a jacket.

He left home around eight and took a bus to the edge of the city.

From there, he walked about twenty minutes until he reached the start of the trail.

At first the hike was easy, but later the path became narrower and steeper, so he slowed down and watched his steps.

On the way, he met a few people: joggers, people walking dogs, and others taking photos.

Near the top, he found a quiet spot with a view, sat down, ate his sandwich, and listened to the wind.

On the way down, he took a longer route next to a small river and almost slipped once.

He got home in the afternoon tired but happy, and he says next time he wants to do it again—maybe with a friend.

My Weekend Hike

Hi, I’m Alex. Last weekend I went on a hike not far from my city, and it was exactly what I needed. I spend most of my week indoors, so on Saturday morning I decided to get some fresh air and move my body a little. I didn’t plan anything complicated. The night before, I checked the weather, charged my phone, and packed a small backpack. I took a bottle of water, a sandwich, some nuts, and a light jacket. I also wore comfortable shoes because I knew the path could be muddy after rain. I left home early, around eight, and took a bus to the edge of the city. From there, I walked for about twenty minutes until I reached the start of the trail. At first the hike was easy. The road was wide, and I could walk fast. But after a while it became narrower and steeper. I had to slow down and watch my steps. I met a few people on the way—some were jogging, some were walking dogs, and others were taking photos. My favorite part was the view near the top. There was a quiet spot with rocks and tall trees, and I could see the city in the distance. I sat there for a while, ate my sandwich, and just listened to the wind. It felt peaceful, like my mind finally had space. On the way down, I took a different route. It was a bit longer, but it was more interesting because it went next to a small river. I almost slipped once, but luckily I caught myself. When I got back home in the afternoon, I was tired, but in a good way. My legs hurt a little, but my mood was much better. Now I want to do this more often. It doesn’t cost much, it reduces stress, and it helps me feel more active. Next time, I’m going to invite a friend, but I’m also fine going alone.
