Jake introduces Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart as one of the most famous composers in history.

Mozart is born in 1756 in Salzburg (now in Austria).

He grows up in a musical family; his father Leopold is a musician and music teacher who notices Wolfgang’s special talent early.

As a very small child, Mozart can play the keyboard and understand music in a surprising way.

Instead of a normal childhood, he practices music many hours a day.

His father takes Wolfgang and his sister Nannerl on long trips around Europe to perform for kings, queens, and rich families.

People are amazed because Mozart is so young, but he plays like an adult professional.

As he gets older, Mozart wants more freedom, so he leaves Salzburg and moves to Vienna.

In Vienna, he works as a composer and pianist and writes music for concerts, the church, and the theatre; he becomes especially famous for operas like The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni, and The Magic Flute.

His life is not always easy (money problems as a freelance musician), and he dies in 1791 at 35; he still leaves 600+ pieces and his music is loved worldwide today.

Hi, I’m Jake. Today I want to tell you about the life of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, one of the most famous composers in history. Mozart was born in 1756 in Salzburg, which is now in Austria. His family was very musical. His father, Leopold Mozart, was a musician and a music teacher. He noticed very early that Wolfgang had a special talent. When Mozart was only a small child, he could play the keyboard and understand music in a surprising way. Mozart did not have a normal childhood. Instead of spending his time only with toys and games, he practiced music many hours a day. His father took him and his sister, Nannerl, on long trips around Europe. They played music for kings, queens, and rich families. People were amazed because Mozart was so young, but he played like an adult professional. As he got older, Mozart wanted more freedom. He left Salzburg and moved to Vienna, a city full of music and culture. In Vienna, he worked as a composer and pianist. He wrote music for concerts, for the church, and for the theatre. He became especially famous for his operas, such as The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni, and The Magic Flute. His music was full of emotion, energy, and beautiful melodies. However, Mozart’s life was not always easy. He often had money problems, because being a freelance musician was risky. He worked very hard, but he did not always earn enough. Sadly, Mozart died very young, in 1791, when he was only 35 years old. Even though his life was short, Mozart wrote more than 600 pieces of music. Today, people still listen to his work all over the world, and many musicians say his music is some of the best ever created.
