🗼 A2 Dialogue — Paris Sightseeing
Focus: making a simple plan, “must-see” places, giving advice, time planning.
Hi, Leo! You’ve been to Paris, right? I’m going next week, and I want a simple sightseeing plan. What are the main places I should see?
Yes, I went last spring. Paris is amazing. First, you should see the Eiffel Tower. It’s the classic one.
Of course! Is it better in the day or at night?
Both, but at night it’s special because the lights sparkle. If you have time, go up to the second floor. The view is great.
Nice. What’s next?
The Louvre Museum. Even if you don’t love museums, it’s worth it. You can see the Mona Lisa, but it’s usually crowded.
I’m not sure I want to spend the whole day inside.
You don’t need a whole day. You can choose a few sections and walk around for two or three hours. Also, the building is beautiful.
Good idea. What about churches? I like old buildings.
Then go to Notre-Dame. You can’t always go inside because of the restoration, but the area is still great. Walk around the river near it.
The river is the Seine, right?
Yes, the Seine. You should do a boat cruise. It’s relaxing, and you see many famous bridges and buildings from the water.
That sounds perfect. Any other “must-see” places?
Montmartre and Sacré-Cœur. It’s a hill with a big white church at the top. The views are amazing, and the streets are very charming.
Is it far from the center?
Not too far. You can take the metro. Just wear comfortable shoes because there are many stairs.
Okay! And what about shopping or walking areas?
Walk on the Champs-Élysées and visit the Arc de Triomphe. You can go up to the top of the Arc too. It’s a nice view of the city streets.
Great. I also want some green parks.
Go to the Luxembourg Gardens. It’s calm, clean, and very Parisian. People sit, read, and drink coffee nearby.
Wow, that’s a lot. How many days do I need?
If you have two or three days, you can see the main attractions without rushing. My advice: don’t plan too much. Paris is also about walking, small cafés, and enjoying the atmosphere.
I love that. Thank you, Leo! Now I feel ready.
You’re welcome! Take lots of photos—and eat a croissant for me!
