🚀 Will – Form

✅ Positive

Subject + will + base verb

  • I will call you. (I’ll call you.)
  • You will like this song.
  • He will help his mum.

❌ Negative

Subject + will not + base verb

Contraction: won’t

  • I will not call you. (I won’t call you.)
  • She will not eat fish. (She won’t eat fish.)

❓ Question

Will + subject + base verb?

  • Will you come with me?
  • Will he be here at six?

🗣️ Short Answers

  • Yes, I will. / Yes, you will.
  • No, I will not. (No, I won’t.)

💡 Tip: Use will for spontaneous decisions, predictions, and offers.

📚 Use of Will

Will is an auxiliary verb. We use it to talk about future events, predictions, promises, offers, and instant decisions.

1️⃣ Future Predictions

  • It will rain tomorrow.
  • I think you’ll like this book.
  • Maybe I’ll be late for class.

2️⃣ Promises & Refusals

  • I will help you with your homework.
  • I won’t tell anyone. (I will not tell anyone.)

3️⃣ Instant Decisions

  • A: I’m hungry.
    B: I’ll make a sandwich.
  • A: This bag is heavy.
    B: Don’t worry, I’ll carry it.

4️⃣ Offers & Suggestions

Shall I…? / Shall we…? are also used for polite offers or suggestions.

  • Shall I open the window? (Offer)
  • Shall we play a game? (Suggestion)

💡 Tip: Combine will with I think, I hope, I’m sure for predictions: “I’m sure you’ll be fine.”
