Sofia explains why she decided to learn digital skills this year: to feel more confident at work and have more options later.
A few months earlier, she noticed jobs were changing (online tools, automation, AI) and at first it felt scary.
Then she realized she didn’t need to be a genius—just a clear plan and a little practice every day.
She started small: calendars, reminders, templates, and basic automation to save time.
After a week she saw results, and now she is learning to write better prompts for AI tools to support her learning.
Next she wants to build a small learning project and improve it monthly; she finishes by saying this is about preparing for the future and growing.

Hi, I’m Sofia. Today I want to talk about learning a new skill, because I’m trying to change my life step by step. This year I decided to learn digital skills for the future, not just for fun. I want to feel more confident at work and have more options later. A few months ago, I noticed something simple: many jobs are changing. People use online tools, automation, and AI more and more. At first, it sounded scary, because I thought, “This is not for me.” But then I realized that I don’t need to be a genius. I just need a clear plan and a little practice every day. So I started small. I chose one topic: how to organize tasks and save time. I learned how to use calendars, reminders, and simple templates. Then I tried basic automation—like sending messages automatically or moving information from one place to another. It felt difficult in the beginning, but after a week I could already see results. I wasted less time, and I felt calmer. Now I’m learning how to write better prompts for AI tools. I use them to check my English, create short texts, and explain words in a simple way. I don’t copy everything. I read the result, change it, and learn from it. It’s like having a patient tutor. My next goal is to build a small project. I want to create a simple learning page with short listening texts and exercises. I will improve it every month. I know it won’t be perfect at first, but that’s okay. The important thing is progress. For me, learning a new skill is not only about technology. It’s about preparing for the future, being flexible, and believing that I can grow.
